Speedway Children’s Charities was originally founded by Mr. Bruton O. Smith, Chairman of Speedway Motorsports Inc. and Sonic Automotive as a memoriam and legacy to his son, who passed away at a very young age. Since 1982, SCC has continued to grow, funding hundreds of charitable organizations in communities surrounding SMI speedways. SCC’s goal is to care for children in educational, financial, social and medical need in order to help them lead productive lives. In 2007 alone, SCC awarded more than $3.3 million to over 510 organizations.

Motor City Photography has been a regular contributor to the Infineon Raceway Chapter of SCC, through the donation of photographs that are auctioned on race day, during the annual Toyota/SaveMart 350 NASCAR event, raising between $1200-$1400 each year to assist community based organizations serving the needs of children in Sonoma County, California.
